Azerbaijan’s vehicle imports down

In January 2024, Azerbaijan imported 6,191 vehicles worth $113.4 million, respectively, down 10% and up 10.5% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
According to the Committee, the number of cars with a capacity of ten or more seats remained the same at 20 ($0.808 million), and the number of passenger cars and other motor vehicles decreased by 12.6% to 5,643 ($100.3 million).
Of these, 1,235 ($40.2 million) were hybrid vehicles, and 238 ($9.663 million) were electric cars, respectively, up 32.4% and 2-fold from the previous year.
Meanwhile, the import of vehicles for cargo transportation rose by 31.6% to 495 ($8.908 million), and special cars surged by 22.2% to 33 ($3.45 million).
