Azerbaijan’s car imports down 18%

In January-November 2022, Azerbaijan imported 66,866 vehicles worth $932.1 million, respectively, down 18.2% and up 11.2% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.
According to the Committee, the number of cars with a capacity of ten or more seats increased by 75.6% to 374 ($ 50.8 million), and the number of passenger cars and other motor vehicles fell by 19.3% to 61,637 ($ 743 million).
Of these, 10,483 ($134.6 million) are hybrid electric vehicles, and 409 ($12.8 million) are electric cars, respectively, down 8.6% and up 2.7-fold from the previous year.
Meanwhile, vehicles for cargo transportation dropped by 9.3% to 4,556 ($95.5 million), and special cars rose by 2.1 times to 299 ($42.7 million).
