Silk Way purchase two more 747-8 Freighters

Baku. 6 October. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan-based Silk Way West today announced an order for two 747-8 Freighter airplanes.

Report informs, President of Silk Way Group of Companies, Zaur Akhundov said at 6th Caspian Air Cargo Summit 2015.

According to him, the planes will be delivered to Azerbaijan in 2016.

During the event, Mr. Akhundov noted that increase of airlines, their contribution to the economy, the realities of the economic crisis, price rise and many other issues and their solutions will be discussedduring the summit.

Zaur Akhundov noted that the aircraft fleet is constantly renewed and even company is considered to be a leading company in the CIS.

"We have already managed to turn Baku into modern logistics center.Baku Cargo serves both external and internal customers.Overall, freight logistics increased in recent years "- he said.
