Azerbaijan’s cocoa exports up almost 9%

In January-August of 2024, Azerbaijan imported cocoa and products made from it worth $80.823 million, marking an 18.5% increase from the same period of 2023, Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan also exported cocoa and products made from it worth $6.19 million, 8.8% more than a year ago.

Import of cocoa and its products made up 0.63% of the total imports of Azerbaijan, while exports made up 0.03% of the total exports.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan conducted trade transactions with foreign countries worth just over $30.995 billion. Of that, $18.232 billion accounted for exports and just over $12.764 billion fell to imports. Over the past year, exports decreased by 25.1%, while imports increased by 14.5%.
