Azerbaijan's car tire imports shrink

Azerbaijan imported 322,120 units of rubber tires (new, for cars, trucks, and buses) worth $19.17 million in the first quarter of 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2023, this is 21% less in number and 12% in value.
In January-March 2024, Azerbaijan imported 229,921 units (-9%) of car tires from China for $13.34 million (-2%), 38,816 units (-44%) from Türkiye for $2 million (-45%), 20,818 units (+39%) from Russia for $843,000 (+14%), 4,871 units (-1.5%) from Japan for $589,000 (+33%) and 3,615 units from Vietnam for $563,110 (no supply a year ago).
After a break of 1 year and 2 months, Azerbaijan resumed the supply of car tires from Brazil (4 units worth $590).
