Azerbaijan resumes sulfur import from Kazakhstan

Azerbaijan imported 3,324 tons of sulfur worth $436,000 in 2023, representing a 2.8-times decrease in volume and a 2.4-percent increase in value from 2022, Report informs, referring to the State Customs Committee.
Within the mentioned period, Azerbaijan imported 2,461 tons of sulfur worth $262,960 from Russia, shows an increase of 7 times in volume and 92 percent in value compared to the indicator in 2022.
Kazakhstan was the second largest sulfur supplier to Azerbaijan in 2023 with 682.62 tons, worth $93,360.
It should be noted that Azerbaijan has resumed sulfur supply from Kazakhstan after 10 years.
At the same time, the country received 19.8 tons (-60%) from India for $36,630 (-66%), 110 tons (-82%) from Uzbekistan for $25,000 (-70%), 50.5 tons (-81%) from Türkiye for $17,730 (-82%).
