Azerbaijan resumes power transformer imports from Hungary

In January-May of 2025, Azerbaijan imported 32,040 power transformers worth $49.4 million, marking a 60% decrease in quantity and a 5.4-fold surge in value year-on-year, Report informs, citing the country’s State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased:
- China: 21,470 units (-64%) worth $34.1 million (+5 times);
- Türkiye: 7,285 units (-56%) worth $5 million (+50%);
- India: 156 units (+39 times) worth $3.11 million (+36 times);
- The US: 29 units (-10%) worth $2.94 million (+17 times);
- Belarus: 449 units (unchanged) worth $1.79 million (-13%).
After a 1-year and 5-month break, Azerbaijan has resumed the import of power transformers from Hungary (62 units worth $344,000).
