Azerbaijan resumes potato exports to Moldova

In the first 5 months of 2023, Azerbaijan exported 52,838 tons (+59%) of potatoes (excluding seed potatoes) worth $23.4 million (+58%), Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

Of the total volume of Azerbaijan's exports, Russia accounted for 47,358 tons (+54%) worth $21.5 million (+54%), Ukraine was responsible for 3,357 tons (+4.4 times) worth $1 million (+4.6 times), Belarus accounted for 1,422 tons (+38.5%) worth $569,000 (+49%), Kazakhstan accounted for for 302.6 tons (+15 times) worth $141,000 (+14 times), and Moldova was responsible for 368.8 tons worth $91,200.

After 1 year and 8 months, Azerbaijan resumed the supply of potatoes to Moldova.

In the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 83,167 tons (-16.7%) of potatoes worth $23.1 million (-12.1%).

Azerbaijan imported 22,476 tons (no imports last year) worth $7 million from Belarus, 27,867 tons (+429 times) worth $7 million (+437 times) from Russia, 17,402 tons (-52%) worth $4.5 million (-49%) from Iran, 9,668 tons (-60%) worth $3 million (-59%) from Pakistan, and 4,323 tons (-86%) worth $1.1 million (-85%) from Türkiye.
