Azerbaijan resumes methanol exports to Egypt

In the first half of 2022, Azerbaijan exported 232,579 tons of methanol (methyl alcohol) for $70.7 million, Report informs.

The exports increased six times more in terms of value year-on-year and four times in quantity compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 67,959 tons (+38%) worth $21.9 million (increased by 2.2 times compared to a year ago) to Turkiye, 63,841 tons worth $18.6 million to the Netherlands (no exports a year ago), 47,172 tons (+7.7 times) worth $14.2 million (+12 times) to Romania, 22,652 tons worth $6.7 million to Italy (no exports a year ago), 14,485 tons worth $4.6 million to Spain (no exports a year ago).

After a break of two years and five months, Azerbaijan exported 6,134 tons of methanol for $1.6 million to Egypt.
