Azerbaijan resumes import of washing machines from US

In January-October 2023, Azerbaijan imported 189,943 washing machines, with a capacity of no more than 10 kg of dry laundry, worth $46 million.

Report informs with reference to the State Statistics Committee that this is 45% more than the same period in terms of value and 55% in terms of quantity.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan purchased 96,774 units (+5.4 times) worth $23.3 million (5 times more than a year earlier) from China , and 56,176 units (+3 times) in the amount of $11.1 million (+2.6 times) from Türkiye, 13,348 units (+3.5 times) worth $4.9 million (+3.8 times) from Poland, 14,858 units (-79%) worth $3.5 million(-82%) from Russia, 1,692 units (+96%) worth $ 1.1 million (+82%) from Germany.

A year and 10 months later, Azerbaijan resumed supplies from the USA (7 units worth $49,000).

165,583 washing machines imported to Azerbaijan (from 27 countries), 49.7% came from Russia and 17.9% from China.
