Azerbaijan resumes import of cigars from 3 countries

Last year, Azerbaijan imported 1.91 million cigars worth $498,000.
According to Report’s calculations based on State Statistics Committee data, this is 22% more than the 2022 figure in value terms, and 3.5 times more in quantitative terms.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 20,000 cigars from Cuba (-25%) for $333,680 (9% more than a year earlier), 1.68 million cigars from Germany (+5.3 times) for $73,610 (+68%), 50,000 cigars from the Dominican Republic (+5 times) for $27.53 million (+3.5 times).
After a break of eight years and five months, Azerbaijan resumed importing cigars from Switzerland, after eight years and two months - from the US, and after three years and eight months from Nicaragua.
