Azerbaijan resumes beer imports from UK

From January through May 2022, Azerbaijan imported 94,850 dekaliters of malt beer for $1.222 million, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.

The beer imports increased by 48% in value and 25.4% in quantity compared to the same period of last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 19,840 dekaliters (+64% compared to a year ago) of beer from Turkiye for $266,660 (increased by 92% compared to a year ago), 15,100 dekaliters (+59.6%) from Germany for $250,860 (+43.4%), 20,310 dekaliters (-37.5%) from Russia for $189,430 (-30.5%), 15,440 dekaliters (+41%) from Kazakhstan for $169,100 (+69%), 10,520 dekaliters (+7 times) for $165,400 (+6.6 times) from Mexico.

After a gap of one year and four months, Azerbaijan resumed the beer supplies from the UK, having imported 80 dekaliters for $1,740.
