Azerbaijan restores cigarette exports to several countries

In January-March of 2024, Azerbaijan exported 298.63 million cigarettes worth $4.1 million.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistical Committee, this is 10 times more year-on-year (YoY) in terms of value and 5.3 times more YoY in terms of quantity.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 210 million units of cigarettes (there was no supply a year ago) to Georgia worth $3.3 million, 35.51 million units (there was no supply a year ago) to Kyrgyzstan worth $342,000, 11.5 million units to Belarus worth $117,350, 18 million units (1% more than a year ago) to Oman worth $115,200 (+1%), 10 million units (there was no supply a year ago)to the United Arab Emirates worth $85,000.

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported cigarettes to Belarus for the first time in 13 years (official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011).
