Azerbaijan posts decline in imports and exports of tea

Azerbaijan imported 1,762 tons of tea worth $8,897,000 in January-February 2023, respectively, down 159 tons (8.2%) and $1,400,000 (13.5%) from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

The expenses on tea imports made up 0.4% of total import expenditures of Azerbaijan.

In the first two months of 2024, Azerbaijan also exported 98.8 tons of tea worth $915,000, down 27 tons (21.5%) and $179,000 (16.4%) from a year earlier.

The income from tea imports in the reporting period was 0.02% of Azerbaijan’s total export income.
