Azerbaijan mulls expansion of economic co-op with Saudi Arabia

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov has met with Minister of Investment of Saudi Arabia, co-chairman of the Joint Commission between the two countries Khalid bin Abdulaziz al-Falih, Report informs referring to the Ministry of Economy.

The minister stressed that Azerbaijan-Saudi Arabia economic ties are developing, business relations are expanding between business circles. The minister noted the possibility of investing in priority sectors of the economy, including industry, energy and agriculture, the participation of Saudi Arabian investors in the process of restructuring the territories liberated from occupation.

Khalid bin Abdulaziz al-Falih expressed confidence that the measures taken to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, the discussions held will contribute to the development of economic and trade relations, spoke about the prospects for the implementation of new joint projects.

The parties exchanged views on the current state and development of economic and trade relations, new areas of cooperation in the investment sphere.

After the meeting, the officials met with entrepreneurs, discussed expanding the business dialogue and listened to proposals.
