Azerbaijan increases yogurt imports from Turkiye 67-fold

Azerbaijan imported 1,820 tons of yogurt worth $2.534 million in January-June 2022, respectively, up 5.7% and 19.1% from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.
In the reporting period, 1,292 tons (+7.1%) of yogurt worth $1.696 million (+27%) were imported from Russia, 377.81 tons (+16%) worth $510,360 (+21%) from Belarus, 61.03 tons (-62%) worth $122,820 (-52.7%) from Kazakhstan, 50.14 tons (+67 times) worth $85,590 (+51 times) from Turkiye, and 24.45 tons (+28%) worth $59,510 (+15.3%) from Latvia.
Last year, Russia supplied 69.3% of the 3,408 tons of yogurt that Azerbaijan imported (from 13 countries).
