Azerbaijan increases sugar import costs 17%

In January-September this year, Azerbaijan imported sugar and sugar confectionery products worth $199.8 million, Report informs referring to the State Customs Committee.

This is 16.8% more than in the same period last year.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported sugar and sugar confectionery products worth $17.8 million, which is 12.9% less than a year earlier.

Over nine months, the volume of imports of these products amounted to 1.6% of Azerbaijan’s total imports, and exports stood at 0.1% of total exports.
