Azerbaijan increases car import 2.5-fold

Baku. 12 September. REPORT.AZ/ In January-August 2018 Azerbaijan imported 14,034 cars, up 8,372 cars or 2.5-fold from the previous year, Report informs.

According to the State Statistical Committee, some 100 of them were cars with a seating capacity of 10 and more seats, 12,525 or 89.25% passenger cars intended for passenger transportation and other motor vehicles, 1,332 or 9.5% are trucks, and 77 or 0.55% are special purpose vehicles.

Compared to the previous year,  the number of cars with a seating capacity of 10 and more seats has grown by 34 units or 25.4%, the passenger cars intended for passenger transportation and other motor vehicles by 7,651 units or 2.57-fold, trucks by 729 units or 2.2-fold and special purpose vehicles by 26 units or 51%.
