Azerbaijan, EBRD discuss future cooperation

The current state of the partnership between Azerbaijan and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the implementation of joint projects, and future directions of cooperation were discussed in Baku, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy.

According to ministry, Deputy Economy Minister of Azerbaijan Sahib Mammadov met with EBRD Vice President for Policy and Partnership Mark Bowman. The Azerbaijani official emphasized that he attaches importance to the development of relations with the EBRD, that it is a reliable partner, and provides long-term and continuous support to the economic development of Azerbaijan.

At the meeting, information was provided on measures implemented to diversify Azerbaijan's economy, develop the non-oil sector, promote investments and further improve the business environment.

Mark Bowman noted the effective cooperation of the Bank with Azerbaijan and expressed his support for the economic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan.

The parties discussed the current state of the partnership, implementation of joint projects and future cooperation.
