Azerbaijan begins exporting tobacco to Bosnia and Herzegovina

In January-October 2024, Azerbaijan exported 6,475 tons of tobacco, valued at $21.1 million, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.

Data shows that the exports significantly rose by 3.5 times in volume and 5 times in value compared to the corresponding period of 2023.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan exported 1,164 tons of tobacco to the United Arab Emirates for $5.7 million (no supply a year ago), 1,387 tons to Italy for $4.3 million (no supply a year ago), 1,310 tons (+5 times) to Bulgaria for $3.95 million (+5.7 times), 727 tons (+36 times) to Greece for $2.1 million (+25 times), and 748 tons (-38%) to Russia for $1.5 million (-33%).

In 2024, Azerbaijan exported tobacco to Bosnia and Herzegovina (134 tons worth $456,000) for the first time in the past 13 years.
