Azerbaijan begins coffee imports from Egypt

Azerbaijan imported 387 tons of coffee, valued at $3.8 million during the first eight months of 2024, Report informs, citing the country's State Statistical Committee.
Data shows that the imports grew by 20 percent in volume and rose by 28 percent in value compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 100 tons (+30%) of coffee from Italy worth $1.4 million (+27%), 47 tons (+2%) from Türkiye worth $499,000 (+18%), 79 tons (-28%) from Brazil worth 473,000 (-17%), 17 tons (+21%) from the Netherlands worth $205,000 (+16%), and 12 tons (+71%) from the UAE worth of $188,000 (+84%).
In 2024, Azerbaijan imported coffee from Egypt (0.02 tons worth $500) for the first time in 13 years, based on publicly available foreign trade statistics dating back to 2011.
