Azerbaijan attracts USD 57B worth of FDI over past decade 

"The production in the industrial zones of Azerbaijan amounted to more than AZN 4.3 billion," Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said at an event on "Financing sustainable development: resilient and green COVID-19 recovery," Report informs.

According to him, total investments made in the industrial zones exceeded AZN 6.1 billion.

"Over the past 10 years, foreign direct investment in the country's economy has been one of the important factors of economic growth in the current and future periods. During this period, the amount of foreign direct investment in the country amounted to USD 57 billion. Recently, the interest of foreign investors in alternative energy has increased," Jabbarov said.
