Ambassador: Azerbaijan and the Netherlands are increasing trade and economic cooperation

Trade and economic relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands are successfully developing and the parties are interested in increasing cooperation.

Report informs, the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Azerbaijan Onno Kervers told journalists at a press conference dedicated to the King's Day - national holiday in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. He noted that the Netherlands welcomes the imminent signing of a new agreement between Azerbaijan and the EU, "which will open up new opportunities for the development of trade and economic cooperation."

"Previously, the main indicator of our economic ties was the oil and gas industry. Now, after the diversification of the economy of Azerbaijan, we have focused on the agricultural sector. As you know, the Netherlands occupies the second place after the USA in the export of agricultural products. We are ready to share our experience in this area with the Azerbaijani side, "he said. The ambassador also noted that the Netherlands’s trade mission to Baku is expected in June of this year.
