AIR Center: Zangazur Corridor opening to serve interests of Belgium & Azerbaijan

The restoration of the territories liberated from the occupation, the opening of the Zangazur corridor will be conducive to the interests of Belgium and Azerbaijan by increasing the international trade potential of the South Caucasus region and transportation in the North-South and East-West directions, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Communication of Economic Reforms (AIR Center) Vusal Gasimli said at a meeting with Belgium ambassador to Azerbaijan Michel Petermans, Report informs.

He underscored that the further expansion of trade and investment cooperation between the two countries will make a positive contribution to the economic development of the countries.

At the meeting, Vusal Gasimli filled the ambassador in on the economic and trade relations between Azerbaijan and Belgium, about the studies carried out by the AIR Center in the economic reforms sector, monitoring, and evaluation activities, as well as about digital platforms for business support, the operator of which is the AIR Center.

Ambassador Michel Pietermans noted the prospects in terms of establishing cooperation with think tanks in Belgium and implementing joint projects. He stressed that the embassy will continue to provide support for the implementation of these joint researches and projects.
