Honored Azerbaijani Artist awarded by Russian Academy of Arts

Teymur Rzayev was awarded a medal for his contribution to development of cultural ties between Turkey and Russia

Baku. 16 June. REPORT.AZ/ Honored Artist of Azerbaijan, Teymur Rzayev was awarded the medal of the Russian Academy of Arts.

Report was told in State Committee for Work with Diaspora, an artist residing in Turkey was awarded for his contribution to the development of cultural relations between Turkey and Russia.

By the initiative of Teymur Rzayev awards ceremony was held at the President's personal exhibition of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli, organized recently in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.

Rector of the University of Arts named after Mimar Sinan Yalcin Karayagyz noted the important role of the exhibition in expanding cultural relations between Turkey and Russia.

President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli said about the possibility of further development of bilateral relations by means of friendship, art and creativity.Expressing gratitude to Y. Karayagyz attached great effort to the development of relations, Zurab Tsereteli presented him the medal "For dignity."

Rector of the University of Arts named Mimar Sinan Y.Karayagyz expressed gratitude to the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli and to the vice-president of the Academy Tahir Salahov, and gave thanks on behalf of the University.

At master class held during the event , Zurab Tsereteli painted flowers and created a portrait of the rector, who gave as a gift to the museum of the university.

Exhibition of Turkish artists is planned to organize in Moscow as part of the development of friendly relations.
