Baku hosted the opening of the "Mom, I don't want war" exhibition dedicated to the consequences of the war in Ukraine, Report informs.

The event was organized by the embassies of Ukraine and Poland in Azerbaijan.

The drawings presented at the exhibition feature the occupation through children's eyes. They call for an end to the war.

Visitors to the exhibition are also shown short videos about the destruction in Ukraine.

Ambassador of Poland to Azerbaijan Rafal Poborski and Ambassador of Ukraine Vladislav Kanevskyi took part in the event's opening.

Ambassador Poborsky stressed that the war in Ukraine is not over and continues to take people's lives:

"Ukraine needs humanitarian aid. We must fight together against Russian aggression. We appreciate that Azerbaijan is among the countries actively supporting Ukraine. Azerbaijan knows what war is and how terrible its consequences are. I would like to express my condolences to all the relatives of those killed during the recent events on the border. I wish peace to both Azerbaijan and Ukraine."

Ambassador Vladislav Kanevskyi, in turn, noted that in recent weeks, Ukraine has liberated some of its territories from Russian occupation:

"More support is needed to stop this horror. The war forced millions of Ukrainians to leave their homes and flee. It is especially sad that children suffer and die from the conflict."

The diplomat also thanked Azerbaijan for supporting Ukraine with humanitarian aid during the war.
