Over 1,400 detained in protests against mobilization in Russia

More than 1,400 people have been detained in the protests against mobilization that were staged in Russia on September 21.

Report informs, citing Russian media, that according to the human rights activists, most detentions were recorded in Petersburg - 565 people, Moscow - 536 people and Yekaterinburg - 48 people.

On September 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced partial mobilization in Russia, with the authorities pledging to mobilize 300,000 people. The decision sparked nationwide protest.
