Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran & Kazakhstan to conduct drills in Caspian Sea

The ships of Azerbaijan, Russia, Iran, and Kazakhstan will hold joint naval exercises in the Caspian Sea in early September, after the end of the Sea Cup competition, Head of the Russian delegation of the Deputy Commander of the Caspian Flotilla, Rear Admiral Sergei Yekimov told reporters, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.

“Immediately after the completion of the Sea Cup, we will hold joint exercises, in which the warships of the Russian Navy, as well as the Iranian, Kazakh, and Azerbaijani navies, will take part. For several days we will work out joint actions here in the Caspian Sea,” said Yekimov.

The 'Sea Cup' contest as part of the 'International Army Games - 2021,' which is being held for the first time in Iran, involves small missile and artillery ships from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Iran, and Russia.
