Council of Europe calls on Georgia to wait for Venice Commission’s opinion on ‘foreign agents’ bill

The Council of Europe calls on the Georgian authorities to wait for the Venice Commission's opinion on the law on "foreign agents," Secretary General Marija Pejčinović Burić said, Report informs.

“Given the concerns about compliance with European democratic and human rights standards, I call on Georgian legislators to wait for the opinion of the Venice Commission and consider its recommendations before making a final decision,” the Secretary General said.
