First female chancellor appointed in Austria

Female president of the Constitutional Court of Austria Brigitte Bierlein has been appointed a chancellor, Report informs citing Reuters.

Austria’s president Alexander Van der Bellen said on Thursday he has chosen to nominate the female president of the Constitutional Court as interim chancellor before the snap elections to the parliament.

Earlier Bellen sacked the government led by Sebastian Kurz.
