Earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred off the coast of Vanuatu

Seismologists recorded an earthquake of magnitude 5.9 in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of the Republic of Vanuatu. This is reported by the European Mediterranean Seismological Center. Report informs citing the foreign media.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 49 km southeast of the city of Sola.

The center of tremors lay at a depth of 10 km.

Earlier, an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded in the South Atlantic.
