Embassy comments on proposal to hold Azerbaijan-Armenia talks in Tbilisi

"Azerbaijan is interested in starting substantive talks on resolving the conflict."

Eldar Bayramov, Counselor of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia, said, commenting on Georgia's proposal for conflict parties to hold talks in Tbilisi, the local Bureau of Report informs.

According to him, Azerbaijan is ready for talks regardless of the location: "The sides should not postpone the negotiation process. However, due to Armenia's military provocations, negotiations became impossible, and the status quo changed. All steps must be taken as soon as possible to find a real and lasting solution to the conflict. "

The diplomat noted that Tbilisi called on the OSCE Minsk Group to mobilize its efforts immediately after the escalation of the situation.

"Minsk Group co-chairs say they will make new proposals on the resumption of talks and settlement of the conflict soon."
