13 foreigners illegally living in Azerbaijan detained

Baku. 7 August. REPORT.AZ/ 5 citizens of Pakistan, 5 of India, 1 Philippines, 1 Turkey and 1 Kazakhstan, illegally residing in Azerbaijan, were detained as are result of the actions taken by the State Migration Service (SMS) against illegal migration during the last week.

Report informs citing the SMS, investigation revealed that 5 Pakistani citizens (Qasım Malik Ghulam, Zahid Abdul Majeed, Saleem Tamoor, Usman Muhammad, Kohna Irshad Alı Khan) entered the country based on electronic visa and later became illegal migrants.

Detainees in the Baku city Detention Center for Illegal Migrants of the State Migration Service have been brought to administrative responsibility for revealed facts.

Considering the possibility of involvement of the Philippine citizen in forced labor, cases were sent to the Main Department on Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of the Interior Ministry.
