Azerbaijan neutralizes multiple cyber threats against government information resources

In the near future, the widespread use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies will be one of the most serious factors affecting cybersecurity, Deputy Chief of the State Service of Special Communication and Information Security of Azerbaijan, Allahveran Ismayilov, stated at the 4th National Cybersecurity Forum in Baku, Report informs.

According to him, systematic and preventive approaches to security often lag behind the pace of technological development: "The State Service's activities in this area are accompanied by concrete and measurable results. In the first quarter of this year, numerous cyber threats targeting state information resources were promptly neutralized, malicious traffic was filtered, phishing resources and fake domains were disabled. These facts once again confirm that existing risks are no longer theoretical – they are real, dynamic, and require constant attention."

Ismayilov stressed that success in cybersecurity depends not only on technological capabilities but also on strategic thinking, preventive approaches, and coordinated action:

"To achieve results, real and continuous cooperation must be established among government institutions, research institutes, and the private sector. Technologies change, threats evolve, but the core principle of state cybersecurity remains unchanged – it is ensured proactively."

He expressed confidence that the discussions held within the forum would contribute to the formation of new ideas, the application of innovative approaches, and the further strengthening of Azerbaijan's cybersecurity potential.
