The digital economy and public administration in Azerbaijan are being integrated into a single system, MP Azer Amiraslanov said at a plenary session of the Parliament, Report informs.
He noted that the unified digital development architecture being formed in the country encompasses digitalization, artificial intelligence, the innovation ecosystem, and cybersecurity, while also uniting digital public administration, the digital economy, and digital society into a single system.
"The main goal is to strengthen the country's technological potential, accelerate the transition to an innovation-based economic model, and ensure the coordinated implementation of a unified state policy in this area. Defining innovation as a key focus of state policy is an integral part of a long-term strategy that takes into account modern challenges. Strategy shapes state policy, state policy creates an innovative economic model, and legislation transforms this model into a sustainable legal framework," Amiraslanov said.
The deputy noted that accelerating the digital transition and effectively implementing the planned measures requires further strengthening the institutional foundations of the process: "Since digital transformation is systemic in nature, the coordinated activities of government agencies and the creation of effective organizational mechanisms in this area are of particular importance."
