UEFA's senior project manager struck by patrol police car

Baku. 22 December. REPORT.AZ/ Famous Georgian footballer in the past, former director of the Tbilisi Dinamo, UEFA's senior project manager within the national associations division,David Petriashvili, tragically died in Tbilisi on the night of December 21. Report informs referring to Interfax he was struck by a patrol police car, Georgian media report.

"The death of 46-year-old David Petriashvili shocked the Georgian and European football community. On behalf of UEFA, we would like to convey our deepest condolences," the Georgian Football Federation said.

A case has been initiated under Article 276 of the Georgian Criminal Code 'Violation of traffic rules or operation of vehicles entailing the death of a person'.
