UEFA head not sure Russia will be welcomed back to int'l competitions

UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin has commented on the situation with the exclusion of Russian clubs from international competitions, Report informs.

The UEFA president said he was unsure if the Russian teams would play in the European Cups again. Instead, he noted that he would do everything possible to bring Ukrainian teams to the tournaments.

He said he regretted the Ukrainian and Russian athletes, especially the Russian players, felt the side effects of the conflict.

On May 2, UEFA decided to exclude Russian clubs and national teams from the 2022/2023 international season.
