The sustainability index of higher education institutions can be announced within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29), Minister of Science and Education of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev said, Report informs.
He made the remark at the scientific-practical conference on "The role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in improving the environment in Azerbaijan" organized jointly by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, the National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Science and Education within the framework of the Green World Solidarity Year.
According to him, a number of issues are facing the Ministry of Science and Education within the framework of COP29: "The announcement of the sustainability index of universities in Baku within the framework of the conference is a topic of discussion. Many higher education institutions of the world are interested in participating in COP29. Because currently, environmental changes and sustainability are one of the most important topics for many world universities."
