Jabbarov: Azerbaijan's economy has grown 3.4 times over past 18 years

"Over the past 18 years, Azerbaijan's economy has grown 3.4 times, including four times in the industrial sector and almost two times in the agricultural industry. All this has laid the foundation for the improvement of entrepreneurship in the country," Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov said at a conference on "The role of entrepreneurship in economic development", dedicated to the Entrepreneurs' Day, Report informs.

"The results are based on political and economic stability. The expansion of entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan, which is demonstrating a sustainable development trend, has always been at the centre of the socio-economic development strategy. In recent years, systematic measures have been taken in this area. The work we are doing to continuously improve the business and investment climate, improve the legal framework, and simplify procedures plays a vital role in developing entrepreneurship," he added.
