Uzbekistan's Chamber of Accounts is accelerating the integration of artificial intelligence and digital technologies into the audit process to increase the efficiency of public financial control.
Report informs that Khushniddinkhon Jamalov, Chief Inspector of Uzbekistan's supreme audit institution, said this at the "Digital Public Audit for Sustainable Regional Integration" event organized by Azerbaijan's Chamber of Accounts as part of the 51st Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
The chief inspector noted that one of the most significant recent innovations has been the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies into the audit system.
"A special Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation group has been established at the Chamber of Accounts in this area. Artificial intelligence plays an important role in identifying conflicts of interest, related parties and compliance risks. Last month, the Chamber of Accounts' artificial intelligence platform was launched. This platform assists auditors in risk analysis, anomaly detection and decision-making. Artificial intelligence is not a replacement for the auditor, but a tool that strengthens their capacity," Jamalov said.
He also added that, at the next stage, the platform's functionality will be further expanded, 15 new AI-based areas of risk analysis will be introduced and the system's overall efficiency will be increased.
