Two more countries start supplying watermelons from Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan exported 11,798 tons of watermelon (-0.7%) worth $5.94 million (+21%) in January-July 2022, Report informs, citing the data of the State Statistical Committee.
During the reporting period, 9,979 tons (+44%) worth $5,489 million (+33) were exported to Russia, 937,54 tons (-77,1%) worth $234,810 (-64%) to Ukraine, 494.37 tons (-20%) worth $125,200 (+ 35 %) to Belarus, 145.49 tons worth $36,370 to Slovenia, 144.53 tons (-0.7%) worth $33,560 (+95%) to Estonia, 74.9 tons worth $14,980 to Georgia, and 22 tons worth $5,500 to Lithuania.
After a break of one year and ten months, Azerbaijan resumed exports to Georgia. This year, deliveries were made to Slovenia and Lithuania for the first time in the last 11 years (note: publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are up to 2011).
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 912.53 tons of watermelons (+15%) worth $599,100 (+19.3%), of which 852.32 tons (+8.3%) worth $554,000 (+11.7%) were supplied from Iran, 51.35 tons (+111 times) worth $36,240 (+171 times) from Turkiye, 4.74 tons (91.1%) worth $4,670 (2.2 times) from Brazil and 4.13 tons (-5%) worth $4,130 (+11.6%) from Costa Rica.
