Turkiye resumes hazelnut imports from Azerbaijan

For the six months of 2022, Azerbaijan exported 10,280 tons of hazelnuts for $57.323 million.

According to Report’s calculations based on the data of the State Statistics Committee, this is 39.5% more in value terms and 49.5% in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year.

During the reporting period, 3,762 tons (+4.4 times) were sold to Italy for $23.456 million (+4.1 times), 3,417 tons (-11.3%) to Russia for $18.07 million (-22.2%), 1,675 tons (+83.9%) to Germany for $10.584 million (+62.7%), 671.11 tons (+56.8%) to Kazakhstan for $1.673 million (61.3%), and 140 tons (unchanged) to Switzerland for $848,770 (-5.8%).

After seven years and two months, Azerbaijan resumed exporting hazelnuts to Turkiye (21 tons worth $107,000).
