Russia simplifies import of feed products

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) will soon expand the list of foreign enterprises and the range of feed products that are allowed to be imported into the country.

Report informs citing Rosselkhoznadzor that systematic work is underway with foreign departments to resume the supply of feed products to Russia.

Rosselkhoznadzor receives numerous materials from foreign competent authorities with information on ongoing investigations into previously identified violations and measures taken to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Russian side, as well as guarantees of their fulfillment in the future.

Since June 2021, the Russian department has allowed the resumption of the supply of 195 items of feed and feed additives from 65 enterprises in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands and the UK, of which 33 companies are exporters of functional feed for unproductive animals.

The list of enterprises is gradually expanding, and in the future it will include new items of feed and feed additives, including those produced in Belgium, for a period of 3 months.
