Kazakhstan sharply increases wheat supplies to Azerbaijan

In January-November 2021, Azerbaijan imported 1.017 million tons of wheat (including seeds) for $287.557 million, Report informs referring to the State Statistics Committee.

Compared to the same period last year, the volume of imports decreased by 16.98%, but increased by 9.54% in value terms.

During the reporting period, 991,511 tons of wheat were imported from Russia for $280.040 million, 24,895 tons for $6.623 million from Kazakhstan, 1,064 tons for $656,040 from Turkey, 22.1 tons for $221,550 from Austria, 10.8 tons for $16,290 from France, 100 kg for $380 from Italy.

Compared to the eleven months of 2020, wheat imports from Russia in monetary terms increased by 7.52%, with a decrease in supplies by 18.57%, the volume and amount of supplies from Kazakhstan increased by 3.8 times and 3.1 times, respectively, from Turkey - increased by 3.9 times and 3.1 times, respectively, from Austria increased by 2.1 times and 2.2 times, respectively. In 2020, no wheat was supplied from France and Italy.
