Georgia's exports of sheep to Azerbaijan hit 15-year record

In 2023, Georgia exported sheep (live) worth $14.86 million to Azerbaijan, Report informs, citing the National Statistical Office of Georgia.
This is a record indicator for the last 15 years, but it is also 20% higher than in 2022.
Azerbaijan ranks eighth among the countries to which Georgia exports sheep.
During the reporting period, Georgia sold sheep to foreign countries for $44 million, which is twice as high as a year ago. In particular, supplies were made from Georgia to Saudi Arabia worth $16 million, Iraq worth $7.6 million, Kuwait worth $3.1 million, and Iran worth $1.2 million.
