FAO official hails Azerbaijan’s steps in management of water resources

Azerbaijan has taken important steps in the management of water resources, Nasar Hayat, FAO Representative and Head of FAO Partnership and Liaison Office in Azerbaijan, said at the event titled “The Role of Water Management Systems in Climate-Resilient Agriculture: COP29 Roundtable Discussions,” Report informs.
According to him, one of the important steps taken by the government is the establishment of the Water Commission in the country: "For Azerbaijan, agriculture is not only a sector of the economy. It is a way of life and livelihood for many communities. Currently, water resources in the world are reducing which affects many countries."
