European importers of Azerbaijan’s hazelnut sharply increase imports 

In January-May 2022, Azerbaijan exported 9,576 tons of hazelnut (shelled and unshelled) worth $53.76 million, up 50% and 39.4%, respectively, from the previous year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

Over the first five months of 2022, Azerbaijan supplied 3,762 tons (+4.4 times) worth $23.456 million (+4.1 times) to Italy, 2,935 tons (-17.5%) worth $ 15.685 million (-27.1%) to Russia, 1,597 tons (+79%) worth $10.084 million (+58%) to Germany, 629 tons (-70.5%) worth $1,481 (+86%) to Kazakhstan, and 120 tons (+20%) worth $744,000 (+13%) to Luxembourg.
