Azerbaijan starts supplying sunflower seeds from three countries

Azerbaijan imported 2,531 tons of sunflower seeds (-51.3%) worth $4.423 million (-20%) in January-September of this year, Report informs, citing the State Statistical Committee.

In the reporting period, 1,495 tons (+19.3%) worth $2.752 million (+23.4%) were purchased from China, 864.73 tons (+30%) worth $1.457 million (+14%) from Turkiye, 40.5 tons worth $64,800 from Uzbekistan (the supply was restored after 10 years and 5 months), 66 tons (-5.7%) worth $56,100 (-25.5%) from Ukraine, and 41.1 tons (-98.5%) worth $45,700 (-97.4%) from Russia.

This year, for the first time in the last 11 years (note: publicly available official statistics on foreign trade are up to 2011), deliveries were made from Argentina, Bolivia, and Greece (2 tons worth $3,600, 0.01 tons worth $30 and 0.07 tons worth $640, respectively).
