Azerbaijan starts importing dried fruits from Vietnam

In January-August 2024, Azerbaijan imported 2,101 tons of dried fruits (excluding grapes) worth $5.48 million.
According to Report’s calculations based on data from the country’s State Statistical Committee, this is 23% more in value and 14% more in quantity compared to the same period in 2023.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 315 tons (16% more than a year ago) of dried fruits worth $1.53 million (+33%) from Türkiye, 797 tons (-10%) worth $1.5 million (-10%) from Iran, 547 tons (+78%) worth $1.21 million (+2.2 times) from Uzbekistan, 111 tons (+2.2 times) worth $373,000 (+2.1 times) from Moldova, and 120 tons (+18%) worth $340,000 (+15%) from China.
Azerbaijan imported dried fruits from Vietnam (0.07 tons worth $640) for the first time in 13 years (official statistics on foreign trade in open access since 2011).
