Azerbaijan starts importing avocados from one more country

In January-April this year, Azerbaijan imported 130.51 tons of avocados worth $293,220, showing a growth of 15% in value terms and 40% in quantitative terms compared to the same period last year, Report informs, citing the State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 76.58 tons (3.5 times more compared to the previous year) of avocados worth $114,880 (+4-fold) from Turkiye, 15.42 tons (-60 %) worth $46,010 (+60.3 %) from Peru, 5.16 tons (+2.2-fold) worth $31,100 (+83.4 %) from Luxembourg, 9.32 tons (+86.4-fold) worth $27,340 (+80%) from South African Republic, and 9 tons (-3.1 %) worth $27,000 (+18%) from Israel.
This year, for the first in the last eleven years (note: the official statistics on foreign trade are open until 2011), Portugal exported avocados to Azerbaijan. 0.08 ton of the product worth $2,380 was imported from that country.
